Israel Admits Use of Phosphorus Bombs in Lebanon
Oct 23, 2006
Yesterday, the Israeli newspaper, Ha'aretz, ran this article, saying that Israel had used Phosphorus bombs in the recent war with Hezbollah in Lebanon. It also tells us that the U.S. used the same type of chemical bombs against insurgents in Fallujah in Iraq.

When President Bush speaks of "weapons of mass destruction," he defines it beyond nuclear weaponry. It includes chemical weapons as well as biological weapons. It appears, though, that if we limit chemical weapons to a small area and only a few people are incinerated by the phosphorus, it does not classify as a weapon of MASS destruction.
