The President's recent visit to the Vatican has sparked a number of speculations that he is soon to convert to Catholicism, once his term of office is concluded.

This would not really surprise me. In fact, after Britain's Tony Blair converted to Catholicism after he left office, I wondered if perhaps President Bush might do the same. If so, I would not take this as an indication that he has repented in the eyes of God. It would only be a repentance in the eyes of that Church.
