Analysis of Iranian Situation by Scott Ritter
Jul 16, 2008
This is a very good, thoughtful article by a former U.N. weapons inspector from 1991-1998. He shows how the recent Iranian missile test has made it clear to the West what the consequences would be if anyone attacked Iran, even in a "lmited" strike. In making this statement, Iran has done what it can to prevent such a war.
The Pentagon military planners understand the serious consequences of a military strike on Iran. They are not stupid. The problem, however, is that they do not have the power to declare war. They simply carry out the orders of their political bosses. The political bosses are controlled by AIPAC, who have their own interests in mind.
