On September 12, 2009 Iranian President Achmedinejad issued an edict to sell oil and do other business priced in euros instead of dollars. This creates greater demand for euros and decreases demand for dollars, which will push down the value of the dollar.

I first reported this Iranian plan a couple of years ago. They have finally done it.
