We hope you all have a good Thanksgiving. We will have a house full with family and friends.

Daughter Audra and Ronnie flew up from Dallas yesterday to be with us this week. Darla is purring like a warm kitten. She is in her element fixing Thanksgiving dinner for a hungry crowd.

Special thanks also to the Indians who gave us turkeys. How could we ever repay them? If Ben Franklin had had his way, the symbol for America would have the noble Turkey. But he got voted down in favor of the more military Eagle.

Many of them had in mind the fact that God brought Israel out of Egypt "on eagle's wings."

Too bad there were no turkeys in Canaan or Egypt. The Bible might have been altered. . .
