Tornado Alley
Jun 18, 2010
Some of you may have seen the news that Minnesota reported about 35 tornados last evening. The previous record, set in 1992, was just 27.
The weather front moved from west to east in a north-south line, covering virtually the entire state. However, there was a small break in the weather at the place where the line crossed Minneapolis and St. Paul, where we live. We saw the yellow sky, but no wind and not even any rain.
We have felt specially protected ever since 1984 when we had quite a bit of experience with tornados. We learned that we had authority over them and could tell them to go around us, if not to disappear altogether. We have seen this many times over the years. I know many of you understand this by your own experience as well.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that we were unaffected by the weather last evening and will be driving to Green Bay shortly for the conference.
