Today I heard from one of the intercessors who went to China in June 1997 and who witnessed Hong Kong's transfer of authority. She notified me of some corrections:

Your blog prompted us to get the journal out again and look at it with fresh eyes 14 years later with a lot more understanding.

Actually, the number of intercessors on the 97 China trip is as follows: 24 total made the trip to Hong Kong (12 men and 12 women), but six (4 men and 2 women) remained in Hong Kong. . . because of insufficient funds.

Interestingly, more women than men actually made the crossing into China, even though initially numbers were even.

10 women and 8 men crossed into China on June 22 for the prayer journey. So it wasn't just daughters; it was sons as well.

Thanks for the correction. I don't know how important the details are, but for the record I want to make sure it is as accurate as possible.
