Iran succeeded in shooting down a US drone spy plane over the week end. They say that the drone remained largely intact, indicating that whatever technological secrets it carried could be compromised.

A Debka File report (Israeli intelligence) comments that any war with Iran will almost certainly block the Straits of Hormuz, perhaps for months or even years, if tankers are destroyed in that narrow outlet into the Indian Ocean. And then what about the environmental damage if oil tankers are hit with missiles, releasing millions of barrels of oil into the ocean and Persian Gulf?

I suspect that there is a race to arrest the warmongers before they can start World War 3. Right now the threat of war seems to be the big blackmail--"If you try to arrest us, we will start WW3."
