Bowe is from Hailey, Idaho. He is a Christian believer and was home schooled. He was captured by the Taliban in Afghanistan on June 30, 2009 after leaving the military base for an unknown reason.

Last December, he managed to escape for a few days but was re-captured. His family and friends have organized a prayer campaign for him on July 1st. Please take a moment and join with us in prayer for his safety and release from captivity.
