7.2 Richter quake in Philippines
Oct 15, 2013
A powerful earthquake struck the central islands of the Philippines today, measuring 7.1 or 7.2 on the richter scale.

The quake struck Bohol and Cebu north of the island of Mindanao. (See the map in the link above.) Our conference next month will be at the southern coast of Mindanao, which is quite far from the earthquake. Even so, I wonder if it is just a coincidence that it struck Cebu, and our conference will be held at Lake Sebu (same pronunciation).
A reader also informed me that November 14 is the day the Eastern Orthodox Church celebrates St. Philip's Day. That will be the day that we begin our conference at Lake Sebu that Felipe (Philip) has arranged for us in the Philippines.
