Yesterday was a snow day for me here in Minneapolis, but someone sent me a link to the memorial service being held for Bob Jones at Morningstar Ministries in Statesville, NC. I was led to log on and listen to it. I then realized just how significant his death was in the history of the kingdom. Furthermore, I realized how even his memorial service spoke into prophecy that we had received in 2001 on the same date (February 21, 2001).

I did not know Bob Jones personally, though I had met him on one occasion back in 1994 or 1995 when I was visiting Minneapolis even before we moved here. He had come to share a word at Arise and Shine Fellowship, headed by Martin Paulat. We then moved here in August of 1996 to help Martin after his stroke earlier in the year. Before Martin died in December 1998, he asked me to take the responsibility for the group.

Martin had been given revelation that seven principle men would be sent to the Arise and Shine Fellowship to build it and establish it. Bob Jones was one of them; I was the last of the seven and the only one who was called to remain here until now.

I learned some significant things about Bob Jones while listening to the testimonies at the memorial service. First, if I recall correctly, back in 1975 Bob was called to prepare the way for the great move of the Holy Spirit that would be poured out in the earth. At that time, the Charismatic Movement was still quite fresh, so it is interesting that he was already looking forward to the next move of the Spirit.

Yet he was only called to “prepare the way” for it. That implies that his death completed his work, and that we ought to see this next great worldwide move shortly.

Secondly, anyone called to “prepare the way” for something points to an Elijah work. His death, then, implies the end of Elijah and the start of Elisha. I do not know if he saw the Elijah-Elisha two-step program or not, but he did see a “Joshua company” coming. In other words, it appears he foresaw the Moses-Joshua two-step program that runs parallel to that of Elijah-Elisha.

Elijah prepared the way for Elisha; Moses prepared the way for Joshua. Hence, even as Moses and Elijah are paired in the last chapter of Malachi, so also are Elisha and Joshua paired in the next work that is to come.

As you know, if you have been following our teachings over the years, we began to see the “signs of Elisha” manifest after the prophetic decree on April 12, 2009 at Manassas, VA. The first eight miracle-signs occurred periodically until the last on July 9-15, 2010.

We have been waiting for 3½ years for the last eight signs to begin, which would mark the double portion. Recall that Elijah performed eight miraculous signs, but Elisha, who was given the double portion of the anointing, performed sixteen miraculous signs.

So from 2009 until now, we have seen eight miraculous signs, but have not seen the double portion, where Elisha exceeds Elijah’s anointing. Instead, we have been stuck between the eighth and ninth sign of Elisha. We have watched with patience (or impatience) and prayed to know the cause of the holdup.

In early July of 2013, as we approached the 3-year anniversary of the eighth sign, it occurred to me that perhaps we were seeing the 3-year drought of Elijah (1 Kings 18:1), which marked the final transition from Elijah to Elisha. So we saw the potential of seeing the end of the “drought” by July 15, 2013. As we discussed this, however, we recognized that the New Testament says it was three years and six months (Luke 4:25; James 5:17). So we also recognized the possibility that we might have to be patient until January 2014.

As Ron and I refined this further, we noted the earlier revelation that January was a type of Passover month (being the first month on our calendar). We had already been seeing events happen in previous years on January 14 or 15 which pointed to the feast of Passover. Passover spoke of Moses, who led Israel out of Egypt on Passover, but also to Joshua, who led Israel into the plains of Jericho at Passover forty years later.

These two Passover events prophecy of the two comings of Christ. When Jesus died on the cross, He led us out of the house of bondage as a type of Moses (Acts 3:22, 23). But Christ’s second appearance will be as Joshua, who leads us into the Kingdom. Joshua was of the tribe of Ephraim, not Judah, and Ephraim was the son of Joseph, the Birthright holder (1 Chronicles 5:1, 2). The Birthright holder was always given the double portion, which correlates with Elisha’s double anointing. Hence, Joshua and Elisha are paired in this prophecy.

This also explains why Christ comes the second time with his robe dipped in blood (Revelation 19:13). He is identified as Joseph, whose robe was dipped in blood (Genesis 37:31). Hence, His first coming was to secure His throne rights as the Lion of the tribe of Judah, but His second coming is to secure His Birthright as Joshua the Ephraimite. With that Birthright comes the double portion of Joshua and Elisha.

There is also a Second Passover in Scripture, set up for those who were unable to keep the Passover in the first month (Numbers 9:9-11). So if we account for this in our prophecy watch, January is a type of the first Passover; February is a type of the Second Passover. Specifically, February 14 is when the lambs would be killed for the Second Passover. So Bob Jones died on February 14, 2014 as a type of Christ.

His death came on one of our major watch dates and so revealed the mind of God. It established the timing of the end of an era and the start of something new. I see it as the end of the Elijah phase of “preparing the way,” and the start of Elisha’s double portion.

About ten years ago, Bob Jones had a near-death experience but was prayed back to life. He returned with a word from the Lord. He said that when we meet Jesus, He will not ask how many people were saved under your ministry, but will ask: Did you learn to love? In other words, it is not really about our works, but about our character and relationship with God and men. This important revelation was mentioned at his memorial service, because everyone took note that Bob died on Valentine’s Day to reveal God’s heart of Love.

He was given close to ten more years of life to finish his work of “preparing the way.”

While watching his memorial service, it occurred to me that it was happening 13 years after the “bearing fruit” revelation on February 21, 2001. I wrote about this in my book, The Wars of the Lord, chapter 28. The story is as follows:

On January 29, 2001 I received a challenge in the mail from a woman in Wisconsin, who claimed authority in spiritual warfare and thought that I was trying to usurp her position. Since the Lord had already given us revelation that some sort of spiritual attack was to happen on that date, He had us answer it at 9:00 a.m. that day. The mail arrived at 10:30 a.m. with her challenging letter in it.

As we inquired of the Lord how to handle the situation, He led us to do what Moses did when he was challenged by Korah and his company in Numbers 16. We laid up our staves of authority before the Lord in order to let Him give the verdict. When we did so, He said that the verdict would be given at noon on February 21. That is when “Aaron’s rod” would bear fruit (Numbers 17:5, 8) and bring forth almonds.

Well, it happened that our friend, Sunny Day, who knew the woman challenging our authority, called for an “almond meeting” at the DoubleTree hotel in Minneapolis, and scheduled it for February 21, 2001. When I was invited to the meeting, I knew that this would be where we would see the verdict from the Divine Court, and that in some prophetic way the rod of authority would blossom and bear fruit.

It happened that Sunny Day also invited a couple from Rick Joyner’s church (Morningstar Ministries) in Statesville, NC. They decided to attend the meeting as well. They called me to see if I could pick them up at the Minneapolis airport at 11:32 a.m. on February 21. Their name? Tom and Michelle Berry. I knew immediately that they were the sign of Aaron’s rod that was to bear fruit on February 21.

The only problem was that the plane was supposed to arrive before noon. The Lord had told us that the sign of fruit would be seen at noon. The plane arrived on time, but there was still another plane at the gate where they were to dock, so they sat on the tarmac until that plane left. Of course, they got off the plane precisely at noon.

Now, 13 years later, we see the fulfillment of that sign in the memorial service for Bob Jones on February 21, 2014 at Morningstar Ministries. What are the odds that this service would be held at the same ministry that the Berry’s had come from in 2001? (In fact, when we had visited them years ago, they took us to the church to meet Rick Joyner.)

Coincidences abound when it comes to prophetic timing. What are the odds? Well, 100%, of course! We have seen this sort of thing hundreds of times over the years. The Lord always confirms His word with signs following.

So where do we go from here?

If Bob Jones was an Elijah type, then he is also a Moses type, because these two ministries function together as a package deal. It is interesting that since June 2012, I had been writing a commentary on the book of Deuteronomy. A year ago this project was seen as a final ministry of Moses before Joshua’s commission. I knew that this had to be completed by February 2014, and last July we began to focus on the specific date of February 14-16, because it was the time between the Second Passover and the wave-sheaf offering.

I did indeed finish the tenth and last volume on the speeches of Moses on February 16, 2014. This, then, marks the transition from Moses to Joshua.

At the time, I had not considered the date of the memorial service, nor did I know when or where it would take place. So now, as of yesterday, this piece of the puzzle has been put in its place.

But there are also other dates in March that are watch dates.

First, there is March 5, Ash Wednesday. It is also the 50^th day from the type of Passover, January 15. Recall that January 15 was when the Pope cleansed the temple by firing four out of five of the top Vatican bankers.

March 5 is also 1335 days (Daniel 12:12)) from July 9, 2010, when we went to the Headwaters of the Mississippi River to prophesy the eighth sign of Elisha.

OK, back to March 5, 2014. It is a major watch date. First, it is Ash Wednesday. The name Ephraim (the tribe of Joshua) has a double meaning. It can mean “double portion of fruit” or it can mean “double ash heap.” Hence, Ash Wednesday is connected to Ephraim.

It is also the 50^th day from January 15. Actually, though, to be a precise type of Pentecost, we have to start counting on January 16 or 19. So the 50^th day from these dates would actually fall on March 6 and 9. So we ought to watch those dates as well.

Finally, we should watch March 15/16, as this is 30 days from the day Bob Jones died on February 14. Why 30 days? Mostly because of the Moses’ connection. When Moses died, Israel set aside a 30-day period of mourning before crossing the Jordan into the Promised Land (Deuteronomy 34:8). Hence, there may be a 30-day period where we do not see any particular event, although the flow of revelation will certainly continue.

Then, of course, there is always the revelation: “March 18 I set you free,” which dates back to 1986. March 18 is a watch date every year and may have special significance in 2014.

There are other dates we must watch, just because a 13-year cycle from 2001 seems to have emerged from hiding. Yesterday’s revelation at the memorial service, connecting it to the rod of authority bearing fruit, may imply more dates from 2001 emerging in 2014. Recall that throughout 2001 we did more spiritual warfare than in any other year, beginning with the authority challenge on January 29, 2001. I gave a full account of this in my book, The Wars of the Lord, chapters 27-33.

I am most interested in seeing if the revelation from March 2001 may begin to emerge, where God said, “I am building effective Apostleship.” The purpose of this new order of Apostles is to complete the work that was begun by the original apostles. Whereas the original apostles worked under the anointing of Pentecost, we today are looking for a double anointing under the feast of Tabernacles.

It seems likely that this will begin shortly.
