Nicotine (C₁₀H₁₄N₂) is injected into sugar (C₁₂H₂₂O₁₁) resulting in C₁₄H₁₈N₂O₅ (aspartame). The nitrogen atoms in aspartame displace receptors in the blood, depriving the brain of oxygen, resulting in micro strokes. Scuba divers are familiar with the bends [when to come to the surface too quickly] from excess nitrogen in the blood resulting in major strokes. This later method is from inhalation and the former from ingestion. Results are the same.
