The Oroville Dam upstream from Sacramento has many cracks in it and has been dangerous throughout the past year. But the danger has increased recently, even as workers try to fix the leaks and cracks. The problem is that the dam is just 12 feet short of overflowing, and there is a major rainstorm coming this week, which could cause the dam to fail. If this were to happen, the city of Sacramento would be under 30 feet of water in a short period of time.
