Hong Kong and Hurricane Dorian, parallels to 1997

China’s military invasion of Hong Kong and the threat from Hurricane Dorian along the East Coast suggest a repeat of events from 1997.
On August 24, 2019 I set forth watch dates from August 28 to September 2, comparing this time period to 1997. Recall that my wife and I were remarried on August 22, 1997 using a New Covenant marriage pattern. (For those who don’t know us, we were originally married in 1971, but those wedding vows were based on the “normal” Old Covenant pattern.)
Last May, I was asked to perform a New Covenant wedding in California. Looking back at this, I now see that this was the first clue that we were to watch the 1997 pattern as it has now unfolded. But I did not really begin to see this until August 22, when, of course, my attention was drawn to our own 22nd anniversary. Only then did I begin to discern that August 28 to September 2, 2019 might be a dangerous window.
The Dragon Wars of 1997
As I recounted in The Wars of the Lord, chapter 18, in 1997 we were in the so-called “Dragon Wars.” On June 28, 1997 there was a famous boxing match between Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield, where Tyson was disqualified in the third round for biting Holyfield’s ear (twice). Holyfield had prepared himself before the fight with Christian praise music, and he entered the ring to the music: “When the Spirit of the Lord comes upon my heart, I will dance as David danced.”
Tyson, on the other hand, entered the ring with loud rap music. He had a tattoo of Mao Zedung on his right shoulder and had converted to Islam. Before the fight, he had vowed to punch Jesus Christ out of the ring—referring to Holyfield’s Christian testimony. Holy Field, of course, could be seen as the Kingdom of God, in that “the field is the world” (Matthew 13:38). So that alone set up this fight as a spiritual sign, and we watched it with interest.
Tyson’s disqualification in the third round told us that the Dragon Wars would end after three rounds. The details are in the book.
The point is that we utilized the old 1980 revelation, “July is like September,” in understanding timing in 1997. If July is like September, then June is like August. Hence, June 28 was like August 28, 1997.
The second important event took place on July 1, 1997 just a few days after the Tyson-Holyfield fight. It was the day that the UK gave Hong Kong back to China, with Prince Charles officiating at the ceremony. The final fireworks display pictured in the sky a dragon devouring a pearl. Hong Kong was known as The Pearl of the Orient. In the old legends, dragons came from the sea, and in order to maintain themselves on land, they had to eat pearls.
July 1 was like September 1, but since the Hong Kong ceremony did not end until nightfall, by Hebrew time, the night of September 1 was already September 2. For this reason, we knew to watch from August 28 to September 2.
So six weeks later, as we got into mid-August of 1997, we suddenly received pieces of revelation from many sources that Darla and I were to go on a trip to Texas, where we were to be married under the New Covenant. We were also to place boundary markers near Corpus Christi, then drive to Key West, Florida to place a second boundary marker, and from there we were to drive to Huntersville, NC to place the third boundary marker.
The purpose of these boundary markers was to forbid the “dragons” (taking the form of hurricanes) from hitting the coast of the USA for a full year. We did this, placing the three boundary markers on August 21, 26, and 28, 1997. We then headed home to Minnesota, and while we were in Detroit, Michigan, we heard that Princess Diana had been killed in the early morning hours of August 31. She was the secondary target, taken out by the dragon who was unable to devour his primary target, the Pearl of Great Price, on account of our boundaries.
The 22-Year Parallel in 2019
As I said earlier, about 2 weeks ago I began to discern that we could be seeing a repeat situation this year, based on the 1997 patterns. The government changed the law allowing people to be extradited to mainland China for prosecutions, and this is what sparked the protests, beginning the end of March. These only grew stronger, and on July 1, the protesters stormed the legislative building.
In the past few days China sent troops into Hong Kong and on August 31 warning shots were fired in Victoria Park.

This is of interest, in that my wife and I were married in Victoria, TX in 1997. August 31 was also the anniversary of Princess Diana’s death.
Perhaps the most significant event, however, was reported on August 28, 2019, which was the start of our “danger” watch date. In the guise of “rotating troops,” China essentially invaded Hong Kong.
I see this Hong Kong situation in 2019 linked directly to the events in 1997. In that light, what we are seeing is the dragon again devouring a pearl. The Pearl of the Orient is the alternative target this time around, whereas in 1997 it was a primary target. It is uncanny how these spiritual connections always seem to surface at the right times. In 1997 Prince Charles officiated at the ceremony in Hong Kong, essentially serving the red dragon with a pearl to eat. Two months later, his ex-wife, Princess Diana, became the secondary target (pearl) on August 31, 1997.
Hurricane Dorian
Tropical storm Dorian became a hurricane on August 28, according to this report.

As that was our first “danger” watch date, it is clear that Dorian is one of the main events that we were to watch. Recall that in 1997 we set boundaries to prevent dragons (hurricanes) from hitting the southern and eastern coast up to Huntersville, NC. So with Hurricane Dorian bearing down on the east coast, I see it as another manifestation of a spiritual “dragon.”
What does Dorian mean? It is from the Greek and has to do with the Dorian tribe that moved into Greece a long time ago. The following source gives two meanings. I think the second is most significant as a sign today.

Doros was the founder of the Dorian tribe, and the most likely origin of Doros' name was the Greek word "doron", meaning 'gift'. The Dorians were an obscure, ancient Hellenic tribe that were supposed to have existed in the north-eastern regions of Greece, ancient Macedonia and Epirus.
Another possible origin of the name Dorian, is from the Greek "Dorios", meaning 'child of the sea'.
Dorian means “gift” and “child of the sea.” The hurricane is coming from the sea, even as dragons were said to come from the sea.
It appears that the boundary markers that we set in 1997, though they were meant to last for just one year, are having a residual effect in 2019 on account of the 22-year parallel. For this reason, there is a high pressure system over Kentucky which will probably push Dorian to the north, leaving Florida only with some heavy rain. The weather models disagree somewhat, but most are now showing that Dorian will remain in the Atlantic as it curves to the north. I suspect that since our third boundary was set at Huntersville, NC, the eye of the storm will not breach that boundary.
As I write this, Dorian is over the Bahamas. It hit the Bahamas as a Category 5 storm with sustained winds of 185 mph, tied for the largest ever recorded in the Atlantic. We have not seen such a strong storm since 1935. The high pressure system over Kentucky has also slowed Dorian to just 1 mph, which means the Bahamas will be pummeled for a long time. I presume that the high pressure system will soon push Dorian to the north and that its eye will not hit Florida at all.
In my view, today is Dorian’s deadline to eat its primary “pearl.” It cannot do this, and so it will take another path and continually weaken until it dies in the north Atlantic. If the eye makes landfall in North Carolina, it will do so as a Category 1 storm, and I do not believe it will breach the boundary at Huntersville.
