The upcoming Tabernacles Conference in October 2014 will be at the DoubleTree Hotel in Minneapolis. We are planning a four-day conference this year, beginning Thursday, October 9, which is the first day of Tabernacles. On Saturday, October 11, we will meet only until 3 pm, as the hotel had already scheduled a wedding for that evening. This will give you time to fellowship or perhaps we may schedule a group activity at that time.
The conference will end at 3 pm on Sunday, October 12. This will give some of you time to travel home. For those who stay the rest of the evening, of course, there will be more time for fellowship.
So you may want to plan on staying at the hotel Wednesday night, because the meeting room will be opened at 9 a.m. Thursday for the start of the conference.
The hotel will create our own web site link so that you can make reservations online at the negotiated price of $109/night. (Other groups, smaller than ours, got a rate of $129/night.) We tried to renew a new group of rooms at the rate that we had, but the hotel couldn't do it due to increased reservations overall, therefore we got an additional group of rooms for $139/night. It is a little expensive, but it is also a very nice hotel in a good location with shops and restaurants nearby. I will post more details as well as the online link as soon as I can.
UPDATE: After negotiating with DoubleTree, they have extended the second block of rooms for $139/night. The alternate hotels below are still available at their reduced rates if you wish to stay in one of those instead of the DoubleTree.
UPDATE (9-19-2014):
The cut-off date for booking rooms at the reduced rate has passed. If you still wish to book a room at the DoubleTree Hotel, you may do say at their normal rate. The other hotels listed below are still available at their reduced rates as well.
Here are some alternative hotels a few miles north of the DoubleTree Hotel. When we fill the rooms for the DoubleTree, you may call the hotels listed below. Keep in mind that you will have to travel a few miles from these hotels to the DoubleTree each day, so be sure to have transportation.

How to make reservations for the Tabernacles Conference
We have received a personalized web site for you to make reservations for the Tabernacles conference in October.
The site allows you to make up to 5 reservations at a time, but it is not likely that any of you will need that many separate room reservations.
It is quite self-explanatory. Keep in mind that we will start at 9:00 a.m. October 9, so you may want to come the previous day and spend the night at the hotel (Oct. 8). Although the conference officially ends at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, no doubt many will want to continue fellowship more informally.
Please ignore anything having to do with "logging in" on the website. The sign in boxes are for our admin, and not for room booking purposes. The image below is simply to help you find the button that you need to click to book your room. You will find that button on the page you are taken to when you click the link below. The image below is an old image, and it shows the old rate of $109/night. The button you click on to book a room will be the same.
